About

The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.

William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, Act 5, Scene 1

Advanced Persistent Fool is an ideological portmanteau, and joke, combining two loves of mine. Security with its Advanced Persistent Threat, and literature.

Shakespeare’s not the only one who gets the idea about us fools. William Blake’s Proverbs of Hell from The Marriage of Heaven and Hell was my initial inspiration for the title: “If the fool would persist in his folly, he would become wise.”

What follies do I persist in? Writing, video game design and development, and information security.

I know, it’s pretty brave of me to anger the SEO gods. I also always try to combine these interests into one post. I’m human (just check my Turing test), so I overcomplicate things. 💅🏼
